Mentoring and supervision

FOR ACUPUNCTURISTS & Allied Health Practitioners

Lisa offers individual mentoring & peer supervision to both newly qualified and established practitioners.

In many of the caring professions, mentoring and supervision has been established as a valuable and effective tool for professional development. It gives the support and guidance they routinely offer to others.

It provides an opportunity for practitioners to draw breath and have unhurried time to explore and resolve any work or personal issues that may hinder them from being fully present with their patients, and help create the working life they really want.

“Lisa has been a huge support in my practice, helping me resolve complex issues that have arisen. I felt listened to with openness, warmth and compassion, knowing I could raise any issue in confidence. I am extremely grateful for her guidance and wish I had reached out for support sooner.” EM, London

Why have Mentoring-Supervision?

Mentoring and supervision provides a safe non-judgemental environment in which to gain greater understanding of yourself as a practitioner, to work through any difficult issues and move forward.

Examples of common discussion topics:

  • Boundaries

  • Burnout

  • Confidentiality

  • Ethics

  • Building up a practice

  • Time management

  • Relationships with other practitioners and professionals

  • Lack of confidence

  • Working with emotional issues

  • Balancing the different demands in our lives while practising

  • Transference

Greater fulfilment

Many people who enter mentoring feel immediately relieved and supported which gives them renewed enthusiasm. To know that you are not alone, and that you can ‘say the unsayable’ whilst constantly learning and adding to your own resources is key to the success of the process and to the wider picture of living, communicating and feeling fulfilled in life.

For individuals

Individual sessions allow more time for in-depth discussion and for some, it can feel a safer place to open up and work through deeper issues than in a group setting.

45min sessions are arranged according to your need and availability, either face-to-face in London, via Zoom or WhatsApp video.
